On April 9th the cornerstone was placed for construction phase 2 of the Ülemiste Shopping Centre. EA Reng participate in the design.

The development of the Rotermanni block will be supplemented with a new building located in its very heart. The building will be a large one, with overground space approx.. 11.000 m². EA Reng AS is providing the services of the general designer and prepares the design of engineering disciplines.

The Tallinn Municipality has approved the detail planning (masterplan) that allows the Tallink’s owners to build the biggest shopping and recreation centre in Estonia.

It was some time ago that lots of Estonians got upset about data published in Eurostat tables. It read that in respect of working efficiency Norway was well ahead of others with 68.7 €/h while Estonia was far behind with 10.8 €/h. The Estonian value was four times lower than the Finnish one (40 €/h).

The other tenderers were also consortiums. One tender was submitted by the British consulting engineering company Aecom Ltd. And the French concern Systra. Another participant was the Swedish design company Sweco Energuide AB with its Estonian and Lithuanian affiliates and Spanish design company Ineco.
