Working efficiency shall be raised by half

It was some time ago that lots of Estonians got upset about data published in Eurostat tables. It read that in respect of working efficiency Norway was well ahead of others with 68.7 €/h while Estonia was far behind with 10.8 €/h. The Estonian value was four times lower than the Finnish one (40 €/h).

EA Reng: 50% of project budget is spent unwisely

In the opinion of Jüri Rass, the CEO and founder of EA Reng, an architectural and consulting engineering company, risks are estimated too high in projects. Therefore 50% of the project budget is spent unwisely.
Speaking at the seminar “How to increase the efficiency of the building sector 4 times” arranged by Äripäev on 11 April, Jüri Rass commented on a recent tender for Rail Baltic. In the first tender (later cancelled) all risks were assessed and a double price submitted. “We imagined all that has to be done within the project,” he noted.

The winner of the procurement for the preliminary design of Rail Baltic has been announced

The winner of the procurement for the realisation of the preliminary design for Rail Baltic is a consortium consisting of Reaalprojekt, Hendrikson&Ko, EA Reng and UAB Kelprojektas
The total of three tender were submitted, the price ranging from  7,5-13 Mio euro. The winner’s price was the most advantageous.
The other tenderers were also consortiums. One tender was submitted by the British consulting engineering company Aecom Ltd. And the French concern Systra. Another participant was the Swedish design company Sweco Energuide AB with its Estonian and Lithuanian affiliates and Spanish design company Ineco.
